The Ortofrutticola Barbieri Franco & C was established in 1985 as a one-man business; afterwards brothers Franco and Andrea transformed into a limited partnership società in accomandita semplice dei due soci i Fratelli Franco e Andrea. The roots of this young company data back to the 1970s when their father Carlo was a well-known and successful middleman of fruit and vegetable products at national level.

The experience gained during these years brought the company to a progressive and significant marketing growth in terms of products quantity and quality.

Fruit and vegetable products come from from neighbouring farms. The relationships with the growers is managed by Andrea Barbieri, who helps them achieving higher quality targets, respecting the environment and safeguarding the consumer's health.

Franco Barbieri takes care of the sales and cultivation departments. Nowadays the market is always more demanding, so the first aim is to furnish a product that is always the best for all the Italian and foreign clients (especially German and French).

The company has a refrigerator unit which has recently been expanded to the refrigerating capacity of about 22,000 quintals of storage - in preservation cells at controlled atmosphere; furthermore, the company has a production room which allows the employees to satisfy any short-term and daily requests product packaging.
